One Postdoctoral Fellowship for up to two years.
Starting date 01 September 2015
The fellowships will be awarded in conjunction with the agenda of Dept. III
and the current research project on: 
Histories of Planning

Outstanding junior scholars with an interest in using the concept of
planning to enhance the methodological apparatus of the History of Science
and Technology and suitable experience in science-, technology-, economic
history, STS, anthropology, regional studies or other relevant fields are
invited to apply. Projects focusing on premodern or early modern history
and/or animals are particularly welcome.

The Max Planck Institute for the History of Science is an international and
interdisciplinary research institute (http://www.mpiwg-berlin.mpg.de/en/index.html). 
Candidates should have a doctorate in hand at the time the fellowship
begins; the Ph.D. degree should have been awarded in 2013 or later.
Postdoctoral fellows are expected to participate in the research activities
of the Institute, and to present their own work and discuss that of others
fluently in English. Applications may be submitted in German, English,
Chinese or French.
Fellowships are endowed with a monthly stipend between 2,100 € and
2,500 € (fellows from abroad) or between 1,468 € and 1,621
€, or E14 public pay scale (fellows from Germany). Candidates of all
nationalities are invited to apply; applications from women are especially
