“Get it Published ” Fellowship Program at t he Max Planck Institute for the History of Science, Berlin 01 July 2015 - 01 December 2015 The Max Planck Institute for the History of Science, Berlin (MPIWG), Department III Artefacts, Action , and Knowledge (Director: Prof. Dagmar Schäfer), together with the IHNS, CAS is offering two fellowships for outstanding scholars who (will) have submitted their PhD thesis between September 201 4 and July 201 5 The fellowships are open to students whose research topic i s related to the History of Science , T echnology and Medicine , or Science and Technology Studies . The working language of the MPIWG is English . C andidates are expected to be able to present and discuss their work and that of others in that language. The scholarship is dedicated to advance publications of young Asian research ers in the H istory of S cience. Candidates are expected to have finished their thesis and be in a positi o n to devote five months to writing and preparing an article in English for j ournal publication. Regular meetings will be held to support both the writing process and academic development . The fellowships will run from 01 July 2015 to 01 December 2015 . Applicants should submit the following materials in English as one single PDF - document: 1. Official proof for the completion of your PhD thesis /or confirmation of your university of thesis submission . Brief description of dissertation 2. Curriculum vitae and list of publications. 3. Title, abstract and outline of intended essay (maxim um 750 words). 4. English writing sample. 5. A letter of recommendation from a previous supervisor.
