Postdoctorant Localisation du poste Muséum national d’Histoire naturelle, 75005 Paris Le poste Synthèse du poste : Le ou la postdoctorante travaillera sur un sujet de recherche à l’interface entre les thématiques des initiatives IBEES (Biodiversité, Evolution, Ecologie, Société) et HUBIOMED (Humanités Biomédicales). Activités : Le ou la postdoctorant(e) développera un projet de recherche autour d’une thématique croisant santé et environnement. Son projet devra pouvoir s’intégrer dans les axes de recherche développés par les deux initiatives, qu’il s’agisse d’interroger l’évolution du rapport aux maladies et des attentes à l’égard de la santé, ou le rôle joué par les sociétés, les cultures et l’environnement dans l’évolution des maladies, dans leur prévention ou leur cure. Une mission d’enseignement sera confiée à la personne recrutée : il s’agira de participer à des enseignements de mineure transdisciplinaire et à des enseignements de master en lien avec la santé. Durée du poste : deux ans Encadrement Claire Crignon (MCF-HDR philosophie), Anthony Herrel (DR-CNRS Museum Histoire naturelle), Alexandre Escargueil (PR Sciences) Relations professionnelles En interne : le ou la post-doctorante participera aux projets et activités des deux initiatives (organisation de journées d’études, élaboration et animation de projets de recherche). Il contribuera à renforcer les synergies de recherche entre le champ des humanités bio-médicales et celui de la bio-diversité. La personne recrutée sera rattachée à l’un des laboratoires membres de l’une des deux initiatives. En externe : Le ou la candidate contribuera à rendre visibles les activités des deux initiatives (gestion du site internet, liste de diffusion). Il ou elle pourra se voir confier des missions à l’étranger pour consolider les liens avec d’autres équipes de recherche travaillant sur ces thématiques. Compétences et connaissances nécessaires • Formation souhaitée dans le double domaine de la biologie et des sciences humaines et sociales. Capacité à s’intégrer dans une équipe de recherche et à stimuler le travail collectif. Très bonne maîtrise de l’anglais souhaitée. Compétences informatiques et éditoriales pour la gestion de site internet. Horaires et conditions de travail Semaine : présentiel sauf en cas de crise sanitaire. Télétravail possible. Lieux de travail : le/la candidat(e) sera basé au Muséum national d’histoire Naturelle mais travaillera en étroite collaboration avec Alexandre Escargueil, faculté des sciences et Claire Crignon, faculté des lettres de SU. PostdoctoraL RESEARCHER Affiliation Muséum national d’Histoire naturelle, 75005 Paris Research Summary: The postdoctoral fellow will work at the interface of the research themes developed by the IBEES (Biodiversity, Evolution, Ecology, Society) and HUBIOMED (Biomedical research and Humanity) research initiatives of the Sorbonne University alliance. Activities: The postdoctoral researcher will develop a research project within the emerging research field pertaining to the relationship between health and environment. The project will be integrated within the strategic research axes of the two initiatives (IBEES & HUBIOMED) and may address topics such as the evolution of and perception of human health, the role played by society, culture or the environment in the evolution of health problems, their prevention, or cure. The postdoctoral researcher will also participate in teaching within the interdisciplinary minor as well as master level courses that pertain to ‘health’ in its broadest form. Duration of contract: two years. Supervision Claire Crignon (philosophy), Anthony Herrel (Natural History Museum), Alexandre Escargueil (faculty of Science) Professional relationships The postdoctoral researcher will participate in the activities and the development of the visibility of the two initiatives (organisation of seminars and symposia, overview and development of research projects). The postdoctoral researcher will contribute to create links between the research fields of the two initiatives (humanities and biomedical sciences and biodiversity). The postdoctoral researcher will be affiliated at one of the research laboratories, member of one of the two initiatives, corresponding best to the research activities. The postdoctoral researcher will help maintain the internet sites and e-mail distribution lists of the initiatives. The postdoctoral researcher may be asked to travel abroad to create or strengthen links with other laboratories working within the research themes developed by the initiatives. Background Training in biology, medicine and human and social sciences. The ability to thrive in an interdisciplinary research environment and to engage in collaborative projects is requested. A working knowledge of English and French is essential. Prior experience with informatics and the maintenance or creation of websites is a plus. Working hours and context The candidate will work at one of the host laboratories. In case of a continuation of the current pandemic the candidate may be asked to work remotely. The candidate will be administratively attached to a research unit at the Muséum national d’histoire Naturelle but will work in close collaboration with Alexandre Escargueil (faculty of science), Claire Crignon (faculty of literature) and the research host lab. Start date: December first 2021. Contract type: Postdoctoral position for 2 years; the candidate will be in the possession of the PhD by the start date of the position.
