 JOB POSTING – POSTDOCTORAL FELLOW

 Area of Research:  History of Mathematics

 Description of duties: 
 In addition to conducting research in the history of mathematics, the
successful candidate is expected to contribute to and articipate in the
intellectual life of the Institute through participation in seminars, the
presentation of colloquia and the mentorship of graduate students. 

 The successful candidate will be required to teach two half-courses at the
undergraduate level in each year of the Postdoctoral Fellowship for which
the remuneration (in addition to the salary) will be at the rate of the
CUPE 3902 Unit 1 per half-course instructorship. Teaching will be in
accordance with the CUPE 3902 Unit 1 Collective Agreement.  The current
salary rates can be found at  Salary Ranges – The Division of People

 Salary:  $50,000
 Please note that should the minimum rates stipulated in the collective

 Required qualifications:
 Recent Ph.D.'s (within 5 years from the award of a PhD or equivalent
degree) or by the time of the appointment in the history of mathematics and
mathematical science are encouraged to apply for the Kenneth O. May
Post-Doctoral Fellowship for 2021-22. Evidence of substantial publication
or forthcoming publications in peer-reviewed journals in the field is
expected.
